Age groups, skill tiers, recreational and competitive streams, boys, girls and mixed — no two organizations are shaped the same way. Divisions in Ligue follow yours rather than a fixed hierarchy, and the teams inside them carry through to scheduling, scoring, standings and every roster the season touches.
Build divisions that match how your organization is organized: by age group, by skill level, by gender, by programme, or by whatever combination your competition uses. Nest them where you need to, run several in parallel, and change the shape next season without unpicking the one that just finished.
Place athletes onto teams from the registrations you have already taken. Balance a recreational division, separate a competitive tier after tryouts, or move a player between teams mid-season — and their history, documents and stats travel with them rather than being left behind on the old roster.
A division that exists properly is one you can schedule, score and rank. Fixtures are built against it, the league table belongs to it, and the eligibility rules you set apply inside it — so an under-12 division is genuinely an under-12 division rather than a label on a spreadsheet tab.
There is no single right structure, which is exactly why it should not be fixed for you.
The most common shape, with age cut-offs enforced against the date of birth collected at registration rather than checked by hand.
Recreational, competitive and elite streams running side by side, each with its own fees, schedule and standings.
A league season, an academy block and a summer camp are different programmes with different structures, all inside one organization.
For organizations running more than one site, each location can carry its own divisions and still report into the same organization.
Yes. Age groups, skill tiers and programmes run in parallel, each with its own teams, schedule and standings, inside one organization.
From registration. Completed sign-ups arrive in the right programme and division, and you place athletes onto teams — after tryouts, or by balancing a recreational division.
Yes, and their record moves with them. Stats, documents and history attach to the athlete rather than to the roster they have left.
Eligibility is checked against the date of birth collected at registration, so an athlete in the wrong age group is visible rather than discovered when a result is disputed.
It does. Roll a division forward rather than rebuilding it, and keep last season’s records intact for comparison.
Yes. A player in a club team and a school team, or a league division and a tournament squad, keeps one record across all of them.
