Every game, watchable
from anywhere

Half your community cannot get to a Saturday fixture — the parent on shift, the grandparent three time zones away, the sibling at their own game. Ligue broadcasts straight from the phone at the touchline, free for every family to watch in the app or cast to a television, and pushes the same feed out to YouTube, Vimeo and your social channels at the same time.

How Live Streaming works

Broadcast from the app

Start a live feed from the phone or tablet already at the touchline. There is no encoder to configure, no capture card and no broadcast software — you open the fixture, start the stream, and the game goes out. A volunteer can run it, which matters because a volunteer usually will.

Every family watches free

Parents, grandparents and players open the Ligue app and watch, at no cost to them and no per-viewer cost to you. They can cast it to a television, which is how a game actually gets watched by a family at home rather than three people leaning over a phone.

Push it to YouTube, Vimeo and social

The same feed can go out to YouTube, Vimeo and your club’s social channels at the same moment it plays in the app. Relatives who will never install your app still get to watch, and the broadcast doubles as the marketing that fills next season’s registration.

What organizations broadcast

A stream is worth the effort when it reaches people who genuinely could not be there — which is most of your community, most weeks.

League fixtures

Stream the regular season so the families who are working, travelling or at another child’s game on a Saturday morning do not simply miss it. Over a season that is the difference between a parent seeing two games and seeing twenty.

Tournaments and finals

The games people most want to watch are the ones hardest to get to. Push a final out to YouTube and the audience is everyone connected to both clubs rather than whoever could travel on the day.

Showcase and recruitment games

A streamed game is a recorded one. For athletes being looked at by programmes or colleges, a link to the actual game is worth more than a highlight reel somebody assembled from a phone in the stands.

The score travels with the picture

Because you are streaming the same fixture your scorekeeper is working on, the score and clock come from live scoring rather than a second person maintaining an overlay. One volunteer, one entry, one broadcast.

Live streaming: common questions

What do I need to stream a game? +

A phone or tablet with the Ligue app and a usable connection at the venue. You create the live feed from the app on the fixture you are already scoring — there is no separate encoder, capture card or broadcast software to set up.

Do families pay to watch? +

No. Streaming is part of your organization’s $100 per sport per month, and every family connected to your organization watches free in the app. There is no per-viewer charge and no subscription for parents.

Can I broadcast to YouTube and Vimeo as well? +

Yes. The same feed can be pushed to YouTube, Vimeo and your social channels at the same time as it plays in the Ligue app, so grandparents without the app and followers on your club page can watch too.

Can people watch on a television? +

Yes. The app supports casting to a larger screen, which is how most families actually watch a game they could not attend — on the TV rather than crowded around a phone.

Does the stream show the score? +

Yes. Because the fixture being streamed is the same fixture your scorekeeper is working on, the score and clock come from the live scoring entry rather than being typed into a separate overlay.

What about consent for streaming minors? +

That is your organization’s responsibility and worth taking seriously. Your terms with Ligue require you to hold the rights and consents necessary to broadcast the games, participants and venues involved, including consent for any minors who appear. Collect it at registration with the rest of your waivers.

Can I keep a stream private? +

You control where a feed goes. Stream to your organization in the Ligue app only, or add public destinations like YouTube when you want a wider audience — it is a per-broadcast decision rather than a fixed setting.

Can we stream more than one game at once? +

Yes — different teams at different venues can each run their own broadcast. Ligue may apply technical limits on streaming, so if you are planning a large multi-pitch event it is worth talking to us first.
