League schedule
generator

Enter your teams, pick a start date, and get a complete round-robin fixture list — every team playing every other team, with dates, rotating venues and fair byes. Single round or home and away. Copy it or download a CSV. Free, and nothing leaves your browser.

Your teams

One team per line. An odd number of teams gives one bye each round.

Single: everyone plays everyone once. Home & away doubles it with the fixtures reversed.

How the fixtures are built

A proper round robin, not a shuffle

This uses the circle method: one team is held fixed and the rest rotate around it, which guarantees every team plays every other team exactly once with no repeats and no team sitting out twice. With an odd number of teams one bye is issued per round, and it rotates fairly.

Every pairing onceRotating byes

Home and away alternates

Sides alternate by round rather than one team always being listed first, and the home-and-away option replays the whole fixture list with the sides reversed. Venues rotate across each round’s matches so you are not putting every game on the same field.

Then the hard part starts

Generating fixtures is the easy half. Keeping them true through a season of postponements, venue clashes and teams joining late is what actually costs an organizer their weekends — which is what Schedule Manager is for.

Building a schedule: common questions

What is a round robin? +

A format where every team plays every other team the same number of times. With six teams that is five rounds of three matches each; home and away doubles it to ten rounds. It is the fairest way to rank a division because nobody benefits from an easier draw.

What happens if I have an odd number of teams? +

One team sits out each round. The generator adds a bye and rotates it so the same team is not idle twice before everyone has had one, and the bye is listed in the fixture table so nobody turns up expecting a game.

Can I use this for a tournament? +

It builds the group or pool stage well. Knockout brackets are a different shape — seeded, with winners advancing — which Ligue handles but this generator does not.

How are venues assigned? +

In rotation across each round’s matches, so games are spread over the venues you list rather than stacked on one field. If you leave the venue box empty the column is simply blank.

Can I export it? +

Yes. Copy puts the whole fixture list on your clipboard, and Download CSV gives you a file that opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

What happens when a fixture has to move? +

That is the part a generator cannot help with. In Ligue you change the fixture once and both teams, the officials and every family are told together — which is the actual work of running a season, as opposed to starting one.
